If you are willing to create the life of your dreams, then you have to take 100% responsibility for your life as well. It is true that 99% percent of all failures come from people who have a habit of making excuses.
What does this mean? It means that giving up all your excuses, your stories, all reasons why you cannot do and why you have not yet started until now, and all your criticizing of external incidents. You have to give them up all forever if you want to start your successful life.
You have to take a position that you have always had the power to make it different, to get it right, and to produce the desired result. For whatever reason; ignorance, lack of awareness, fear, needing to be correct, the need to feel safe, etc., you choose not to use that power. It means you have decided to act as if you are 100% responsible for everything that does or doesn’t happen to you.
Every outcome that you face in life is the actual result of how you have responded to an earlier experience or experiences in your life. It might be either success or failure, wealth or poverty, health or illness, intimacy or estrangement, joy or frustration or anything.
If you don’t like the outcomes or results you are currently getting; then there are two primary choices you can make:
1.. You can blame the experience for your lack of results. In other words, you can blame your lack of education, your lack of money, your current working environment, and so on. Most of the people do this. They place the blame for everything that is not the way they want it. They have an excuse for everything.
2.. You can change your responses to the experiences until you get the result you want. In other words, you can change your thinking, improve your communication, and change your behavior to get your desired results.
But unfortunately, most of us are so run by our habits that we never change our behavior. We get stuck in our self-conditioned responses; to our family, to our work, to our customers, and the world at large. We are a bunch of conditioned reflexes that operate outside of our control.
We have to regain control of our reflexes to become successful in our life. For every reason, why it is not possible, there are hundreds of people who have faced the same circumstances and succeeded. You can take the example of Bill Gates or Steve Jobs. They also faced the same conditions, but they reached their destinations – success.
Many people overcome these self-styled limiting factors. But in reality, these limiting factors cannot be the ones that stop you. It is not an external condition nor any circumstance that prevents you. But it is only YOU!
We stop ourselves! We always think to limit thoughts and engage ourselves in self-defeating behaviors. We defend our self-destructive habits with indefensible logic. We ignore useful feed-backs, fail to educate ourselves and learn continuously new skills, waste time on other trivial aspects of our lives, engage in idle gossips, and spend more money than we make.
If you want to become successful in your life, you have to take 100% responsibility by regaining control of your thoughts, your images, your dreams, and your behaviors. Everything that you think, say and do need to become intentional and aligned with your purpose, your values, and your goals.
So, my advise to all young entrepreneurs is give up all your excuses and take 100% responsibility for everything you do and if you don’t get your results, then change your responses!
